When I started this thing and asked people to give me interview questions, of course it opened up the floodgates on bad interviews in general, resulting in a collection of bad interview questions. As the hiring manager, I might resort to one of these questions as an icebreaker, but I’d have to accept that there are no wrong answers per se. I suppose you could trip someone up with a less-than-relevant question, causing them to mistakenly reveal their xenophobic tendencies or penchant for Nickelback, but in general, I think these out-of-left-field questions are a waste of both the interviewer and interviewee’s time. Even though it might seem boring, relevance is key in both question and answer.
